Depicted we have our technicians electrically wiring a chandelier, pinning the component glass and resetting glass arms. Some of the more complex skills undertaken are listed below.

Electrical Wiring

We rewire all fittings in accordance with the most current electrical regulations in each country. Using a variety of electrical cables to suit each individual application. Many of the electrical cables we use are used in the aviation industry; all electrical cables used carry the BS EN and UL accreditations. All fittings are electrically tested and Clare certified before leaving our workshops for installation.

Re-pinning

When a glass chandelier comes to us for re-pinning, every individual piece of glass is removed of its old pins and laid out in the correct formation to be re-pinned. The glass can be pinned in a variety of styles, traditional English, French, American and Bar pinning, to suit the style and nature of the piece being re-pinned.

Metal Finishes

Offering a wide range of metal finishes to suit the client’s individual requirements. These finishes would be applied to every individual piece of metal work to achieve a consistent and perfect finish for all metal parts. All silver plating is applied with 12-15 microns of silver thickness. We also offer Gold plating, Nickel plating, Copper plating and Powder Copper Bronze. All of these finishes are hand polished and then have a stove lacquer finish applied to them. We also offer a powder coat finish in a large variety of colours and textures. Stoving and Paint

Spraying your chandelier can be paint sprayed to any colour of your choice. After spraying any parts, a stove lacquer finish is applied to all components.

Gold Leafing

Our skilled craftsmen can gold leaf your chandelier components for you. We oil gild in 23 ½ carats Italian pure gold leaf. Offering only the very finest finish.

Glass Drilling

Our workshops can diamond drill any size hole in any piece of glass. After we have blown a piece of glass, quite often the glass needs to be drilled so that it can be fitted to the chandelier.

Sand Blasting

We carry out sand blasting using a very fine grade sand. This is to firstly, protect the glass and secondly, to create the smooth and fine finish that befits the glass being sand blasted. Our facilities allow us to sand blast any piece of glass of any size that the client requires.

Lost Wax Casting

We can manufacture any metal work on a broken chandelier and match the original component by way of Lost Wax Casting. In this process a wax cast of the broken piece is produced and the metal poured into the wax cast to leave an identical replica of the broken piece.
